Good morning and welcome back on this Thursday.
Check out the quote below and then we’ll chat.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
“There are no great limits to growth because there are no limits of human intelligence, imagination, and wonder.”
Ronald Reagan
Hell must have just frozen over because I’m quoting Ronald Reagan. LOL
Now that I got my little snide remark out of the way, let’s get down to business, and today’s business is your writing career and writing platform.
Think of it as using building blocks to create a structure. Each block, by itself, does not look like much, but when you get done stacking blocks you have the complete package.
Whatever your undertaking may be, from being a freelance writer to being an ebay businesswoman (Lizzy) you are building your platform for success, and the larger that platform the better your chances of success.
And there is nothing limiting your ability to build that platform.
I will unveil my new blog on Monday…it is called “A Moment With Bill” and for those of you who know me, you will recognize that title. It has been used on numerous articles that I have written as well as numerous videos I have made. Soon I’m going to venture out in a new direction and try blogtalkradio and have my own live radio program once a week and yes, that program will be called “A Moment With Bill.”
It’s all part of the platform and grand plan.
What is your plan? Have you started building your platform?
SITE OF THE DAY
Here is a good article about developing your platform….from the Writer’s Digest….and you can of course find it here.
CONFERENCE OF THE DAY
The Writer’s Digest Conference is being held in Los Angeles the last weekend in September. Read about it and find reservation information here.
BOOK OF THE DAY
Create Your Writer Platform is available through Amazon…find it here.
PROMPT OF THE DAY
You know how this works….look at it and find inspiration.
QUESTION OF THE DAY
What is holding you back? Take a few moments to silently reflect on that question….what single thing is most responsible for holding you back and strangling your potential?
TIP OF THE DAY
Brainstorm new ways to help build your platform. Take five minutes to jot down some ideas and then pick the one that is most doable today….and then do it!
SEE YOU ON FRIDAY
I could give you another contest to enter and tell you about another workshop to attend, but I really want you to spend a little time thinking about how to advance your career as a writer.
I will leave you with that quest, and tell you all that I appreciate you taking the time to visit me once again. Have a very productive day.
