Happy whatever day it is. Truth be told, I’ve been so busy with customers lately that I haven’t had time for this blog. No excuse, just fact.
So this will probably be a short one, but I was inspired today and had to write about the inspiration.
I have an incubator in my writing studio, and in that incubator are little quail eggs. Well today our first one hatched, and honestly, I was blown away watching that little baby climb out of her shell and lay there so beautiful and helpless. I gently picked her up and yes, I had tears in my eyes.
Life is so damned precious. How could anyone feel differently? I was in awe of the scene playing out in front of me, and I was humbled to be holding that new life in my hands.
And that leads us to today’s topic….inspiration!
QUOTE OF THE DAY

THOUGHT OF THE DAY
Excuse me if I sound like I’m on my high horse. I don’t mean to sound like that. It’s just that I can’t understand how writers cannot find inspiration in their daily lives. My goodness, open your eyes and look around you.
Last night two young girls came to our door. They were selling cookies for a school fundraiser, and of course we bought some, because I’ve never seen a chocolate chip cookie I didn’t like. Anyway, they were adorable….two sisters….polite, innocent, their whole lives in front of them…and I was touched by it all. Such a simple scene from life, but it was heartwarming and I just wanted to sit down and write about them at that very moment.
TIP OF THE DAY
Get out, live life, and let it inspire you. Allow your senses to swallow up every magical moment of this gift called life, and then write about it, paint it for others, and share in the wonder.
You are writers. Use the talent you have to inspire others…please!
I’LL BE BACK
I just don’t know when. I seem to have a lot to do of late, but I’m sure I’ll be back sooner rather than later. I hope you are all enjoying this week…and life.

Aww, I love that you bought those cookies and wonderful inspiration indeed! Have a wonderful Wednesday once again, Bill 🙂
Thank you Janine, and a Happy Wednesday to you my friend.
How awesome it must have been to see that little bird take her first breath outside of her shell! I think I would have had tears in my eyes, too.
Last night I was standing on my front porch and noticed a lizard perched on top of a sprinkler head that sits (unused) in the garden in front of my bistro set. He seemed to be surveying his vast kingdom from ‘the top of the hill’. I was so tickled by it I grabbed my camera and took several shots. I know I can use it in a story or article.
Thanx for this inspirational piece, Bill. Enjoy your day!
I would be weeping too, what a glorious and blessed experience! Wonderful to read from someone who values LIFE – every single second is a gift. God bless you, Bev and your ‘family’ real good today. A few months ago I opened my garage door and standing right in front of me to the side of our driveway was a huge doe, just looking at me with her gentle eyes. Just like she wanted to say ‘hello’. Nothing more precious than a creature of God. Sparklea/Lea Tartanian
Lea, that would be incredible. How can someone not see the beauty that is all around us? I love my life dear friend.
blessings on this rainy day

This is why we cannot have an urban garden! We had a buck and a doe in our driveway about 2 weeks ago!
I took my hummingbird feeder down yesterday, I felt sad. I love feeding them and all my other birds and squirrels. I can’t imagine anyone going though life without loving animals. I am so glad your baby chick made you happy. It made me happy just reading abut it. You gave me my inspiration for the day. Thank you…Tweeted
Awww, Ruby, thank you for tweeting this. I would be sad too, taking the feeder down. We got so much enjoyment out of watching our bird friends…..looking forward to spring already. LOL
I loved today’s blog – you may not have had a lot of time but good things really do come in small bundles, thanks Billy
Thank you, Sally. You presented me with a smile and I appreciate it.
Life creeping out…amazing huh!
I saw a similar version in my pot, which died off and to my surprise…small shoots grew.
Inspiration from around is a good reminder…I try to keep myself aware!
Great thoughts, Bill
Happy Wednesday 🙂
Ruchira, you are one of the most aware writers I know. Keep it up my friend, and thank you!
Every coming back is more exhilarated then a previous one…
Ahh, life what a precious commodity of freely given gift to enjoy for evermore…
Those just hatched creatures each have a story to be ” felt with heart “- you are reminding me to early childhood of a farm boy holding dozens of them in my hand year after year…
Yes , my friend inspirations are here, surrounding us : This little lonely hummingbird came even today probably to his only food supply throwing me in bewilderment how to save him as the winter approaching…Yees, I am ” out there “- here – well and alive living perhaps even fullest while my artistic wood-working too demanding dropping me on my knees after every shift robing me of capacity even to read while my heart is keeping up spreading wings in desire to fly holding to that dream not letting it to evanesced.
Believing that your days are beautiful, wishing you even more blessings.
Michael my friend, I could read your words all day long. You have an eloquent voice and I mean that sincerely. Hopefully, one day soon, others will hear that voice as well. In the meantime, thank you and blessings always.
Bill my friend, your compliment sounds so convincingly that led me to conclusion it certainly meant to be to someone other then my person which is being in a state of ‘arriere pensee ‘. ( Thank you so much for blessings, without them would be impossible to pursue happiness.)
Friendship lasts a lifetime, Michael, as do blessings.
This is the reason I keep returning to Cornwall every year. It’s rugged coastline, vast farms, idyllic villages and engaging history is the stuff of dreams. How can one not be inspired by such a hidden jewel.
Thanks for reminding us what life is all about.
Zulma, I would return there as well. For me, it’s always been about the mountains. There I can feel refreshed and renewed. 🙂 Thank you and it’s so good to have you back.
Aww I love the bit about the eggs Bill–we are touched sometimes by the most unexpected things–Happy Thursday!
Another one just hatched, Audrey, and I’m still in awe. Yes indeed, my friend, life is good. Thank you and Happy Thursday to you.
Inspiration is all around us and just waiting for a creative soul to write about it. I enjoyed hearing about those sweet little children selling cookies (my favorite kind too!). Glad to hear your first baby quail has entered the world. Yes, it is indeed heartwarming.
Dianna, if I could, I’d share those cookies with you….but you can be sure I’ll tell you how good they were. 🙂 Thanks and have a great weekend.
