Cue the song “Shameless” because that’s what this post is all about.

PROMOTION OF THE DAY
I really spend very little time actually hawking my books. In a perfect world, my perfect world, my books would sell themselves without me once dipping a toe into Lake Self-Promotion. Wouldn’t that be a lovely situation?
But this isn’t a perfect world, and if I don’t promote my work occasionally, who in the world will do it for me?
So it is with great pride that I announce the release of my new thriller,
SHADOWS OVER A HANGMAN’S NOOSE!
It is now available on Amazon, Kindle, and CreateSpace, and I sure hope you purchase it as a Christmas present for friend or family, or as a gift for yourself.
I make this promise about this thriller: it’s the best thriller I’ve written to date! It’s not the best I have in me because that one hasn’t been written yet, but I can say with no hesitation that this one is a dandy.
What’s it about?
BRIEF SYNOPSIS
The dreams arrive, un-invited. Eli Baker is visited by the dead, and they always have one request of him: find out the truth about their deaths.
Melanie Hooper is missing and yet, as an orphan, there is no one missing Melanie Hooper. Her co-workers find it odd that she left, and unsettling for sure, but she is, after all, an adult, and perhaps she simply decided to start a new life somewhere else. With no body or suspicious circumstances to go by, the Seattle police do not consider Melanie’s disappearance to be sinister at all.
But Eli Baker has dreams, and Melanie Hooper has visited him in one, along with four other orphans who are also missing.
The search is on, and Eli Baker is the right man to delve into the case of the missing orphans. However, Eli soon finds that evil acts are not only performed by evil men, but by Evil itself.
Eli, his girlfriend Liz, and his deadly friend Striker are about to face off against a foe the likes of which they have never encountered.

And I’m already working on the next in the series, “Shadows Fall On Rosarito.”
A NIUME UPDATE
So far, and it’s been about two months now, I have no complaints whatsoever with NIUME as a posting site. I find it very, very easy to post an article there, and I’ve found the other writers to be supportive. I had my first payout within the first month, they paid promptly….so no negatives at all about NIUME from this writer.
SO THERE YOU GO
I have nothing else for you. This is all about me.
Thank you!

Love the update and the “shameless” plug as you are so deserving of plugging yourself that I am just so happy you took the time to do it here today. Happy Tuesday now, Bill!! 🙂
Thank you Janine! You are greatly appreciated. Happy Tuesday to you and your family.
Sounds like a great book! Right up my alley! Congratulations!!
Thank you Audrey! I hope others think it lives up to the promotion. 🙂
Congrats my friend and so you should blow your own trumpet a bit you deserve it! Best of luck with it it sounds an awesome read and hope to bag myself a copy, best wishes for the holiday season to you and your lovely better half! Irish eyes are always smiling for you Bill xxxx
Irish, you are a good person. Thank you! Tell Mick I said hey, and Merry Christmas to you, him, and anyone else important in your life.
Congratulations again on the book release, Bill! You have motivated me to get back to my manuscript, which I admit I was procrastinating about 😉 Are any of your books by any chance not thrillers? The reason I ask is that I want to read one!!
Christy, that’s very sweet of you. I would suggest “Resurrecting Tobias.” I’m confident you would enjoy that.
I just bought it! Looking forward to the read in the New Year 🙂 Coincidentally, my best friend’s name is Tobias!
Christy, thanks so much. I think you’ll like it…at least I hope so. Say hello to Tobias for me. 🙂 I’ve always loved that name.
Congrats on the new book, Big Bro! The storyline and plot sounds more compelling than ever. May you sell LOTS of copies and only write for a living. 😀
You’re an inspiration to so many, but also, these stories get better and better!
Have a great evening. 🙂
Thanks so much, Lil Sis! I doubt I’ll ever be famous but that doesn’t diminish the fun I have. 🙂
Well done, Bill. I don’t normally go for thrillers, but this one sounds intriguing.
Shameless promotion? I prefer to think of it as sharing the reason for a well-deserved pat on the back with others. Hmm…actually, shameless promotion rolls off the tongue much easier. 😀
It does, doesn’t it, Zulma? LOL Thriller…paranormal….mystery…roll them all up in one ball and you’ve got the Shadow series. 🙂 If you give it a try I hope you like it. If not, I understand.
Hey Bill,
I haven’t read any of your other Shadow novels, so I can’t make any comparisons, but I like the story so far. Congrats again on pushing through the barriers and getting another book out there. Keep it up!
Thank you Chris! I love writing, so this is a labor of love for me.
Bill
Well done regarding the book, I’m sure it’ll do well.
Lawrence
Thank you Larry! I’m not nearly that confident, but I keep on writing, hoping to catch lightning in a bottle.
Wow, that’s exciting stuff. I just read the first pages over at Amazon. I see it’s part of a series, so is it a standalone novel or do the other books need reading first? (I note that you say this one is your best so far).
Sarah, thank you! It is part of a series but it can be read alone. I’m so glad you enjoyed that brief glimpse. Should you be interested in the series, the first is “Shadows Kill.”
Your book/s are now on my reading list. Will let you know when I’ve purchased one of them and started on it. I might be a little while, as I have an idea for a new novel that I’m dying to get my teeth into. This urge to write something fresh hasn’t happened for a while, but come January 1st, it’s full steam ahead. Meanwhile, it’s back to the promotional slog of the already-published works. …Oh, marketing, that headache-inducing necessary evil D:
Sarah, that’s very kind of you to read my work. Thank you! As for marketing, I have a degree in it and I absolutely hate it. 🙂
I will be buying myself a Christmas present this year – your latest Shadows novel!
Thank you so much, Sha! Eli and Liz say thank you as well.
Your success increases my joy, though all I can say is Congratulations Billybuc my friend.
“…although the distance is extending, the horizon remains at the same distance …” regarding my immanency.
Michael my friend, your well-wishes make me smile. Thank you so much. I may not ever be famous, but my words will live on forever, and I find that deeply gratifying.
